Scrotum/Testes Ultrasound

A scrotal ultrasound is a safe, painless test that uses sound waves to examine the testicles and surrounding tissues. It helps assess pain, swelling, lumps, injuries, or infertility concerns by providing detailed images of the scrotum, testicles, and blood flow.

Preparation

Removal of underwear. A towel will cover you and the sonographer will scan without completely exposing you.

The Sonographer will move a transducer lubricated with gel over the scrotum. You may be asked to point out the precise area of pain or lump. You are welcome to ask questions during your examination.
